Increase Your Twitter Followers – The Right Way
Nov 28th
Twitter is the biggest boom in social media today and thousands of websites and bloggers use it as their prime method for getting visitors to their sites. But did you know that about 30% registered members on twitter have less than 10 followers?
You wrote a great article or a great review about a particular thing and posted it on your blog. You are excited as the post is a result of your handwork over the weekend and you are waiting to tweet about it so that you get a good amount of visitors. But how many of your followers actually visit your link? On an average, not more than 8-10% actually click on your link and visit your blog, not because your article was not worth reading but many could not see your tweet as it was lost in the timeline before they logged in.
One great solution to this problem is to get good number of followers so that even 8-10% of them makes a good number and you get good number of visitors.
Unfortunately, getting followers was not easy in the recent times. Many sites were available which claimed that they would increase your twitter followers very quickly but what they actually did was make you follow a huge number of people who actually paid them for getting followers.
But I recently came across this website – Twitterfriends.org. It changed the way I used to think about such sites.
What special Twitterfriends.org offers?
The most important difference between Twitterfriends.org and other such sites is that there is no money involved in it (Actually there is but in a very different way as I will explain later).
When you join this site, you are given people to follow with your choice. When you follow them, you get credits. And now you can use those credits to make others follow you. It is as simple as that.
Where is money involved here?
Although you can earn credits by simply following people, you can also buy credits and believe me, it is cheap. The more credits you buy, the more followers you get.
But what is the use if I also have to follow many people?
If you use twitter for just for promoting your blog, then you should not mind following many people. It is infact a good practice to follow all those who follow you because then you maintain your followers and don’t lose them. What is the harm in following people if your sole purpose is to get website traffic from twitter?
But what if I want to get good quality tweets from the people I follow?
Then you can do one of two things –
- Buy credits at Twitterfriends.org (you can buy once you register).
- Make another twitter account and follow only those people you want to. You can manage multiple twitter accounts by using brilliant sites like Hootsuite.com.
Twitterfriends.org is a website that is a great source of more followers for people who run small blogs and websites online and want to gain more followers on twitter to increase their popularity. Give it a try and get on track.
How to Use Digg to Promote Your Blog
Nov 24th
Social bookmarking sites are a big boom today. Twitter, Orkut, Facebook, Stumbleupon are only a few to name. But one of the most promising of all these is Digg.com and it can be used in a great way to promote your blog. Why is Digg different from others and why it carries such a HUGE potential to promote your blog?
On digg, you can submit your blog posts as articles. But you can do that on many other sites such as Ezinearticles.com. So what differentiates Digg from other similar sites?
On Digg all you have to do is submit a description of your article and not the full article as required by many articles submission sites. So the reader on Digg will have to come to your blog to read the whole post. This is a HUGE bonus for bloggers and I personally feel that it is very much justified also as all the hard work is done by the blogger and he should also get a share of the fruit.
Digg also displays your blog address just below the heading of your submission. To add to it all, you can submit any post of your blog directly to Digg by adding a “Digg It” button to your posts automatically.
By placing this button, your blog readers can also submit your posts on Digg and this will attract more visitors.
So don’t waste anymore time. Register today on Digg.com and start promoting your blog.
How to Create Your Own Website in Minutes
Nov 23rd
If you think that creating a website of your own is a very difficult task and it is only for computer professionals, you are absolutely WRONG!!! Creating a website about any topic is a very very easy task. you can create a website in just a day or two. Trust me, I am not lying. The previous version of our website, MyArticlesHub.com, was also made just with the tools I am going to tell you about now.
So How Can You Do It?
1. Get An Automatic Website Making Tool.
There are many FREE automatic website designing tools available on the net. But all of them are rubbish. When I was planning for t his site, I searched and downloaded a dozen of such free automated website designing software’s but all of them were either full of their own ads or they didn’t allow me to use all the features.
Then I got this SUPERB tiny software…NAMU6. I was amazed by the speed and simplicity with which it works. Even the website of Namu6 is itself made by this small software!!!
Some of it’s great features are -
- A small file size (Just 3.7 MB)
- Absolutely FREE
- Very easy interface
- Auto publishing feature, i.e., you won’t need an FTP client to publish your website
- No Ad of Namu6 Website on your site. What impressed me the most is that there is only a small link pointing to their website and saying “Made by Namu6″. But the great thing is that they give you an option of removing that link too!!! Now that is called FREE!!!
Namu6 saves your whole site as a namu6 file. You can publish the whole site on your own server directly at the push of a button. You can also publish the website to a local folder on your computer and later publish it via any FTP agent. Get Namu6 HERE
2. Get a free hosting account
I have hosted my website on Awardspace.com. I really found it very simple and good. It gives you what it shows. No forced ads, free subdomain names, easy interface, and so on. I will STRONGLY recommend you all Awardspace.com as your hosting service. You can name your site with a FREE subdomain name once you create an account with Awardspace.com. You can put Adsense codes in all the webpages on the server itself as Awardspace.com allows for HTML editing also.
3. Get An FTP Agent
If you want to use an FTP agent, use FILEZILLA.
It is FREE and very easy to use.
4. Upload Your Website
After you finish making the website, just upload it onto the server. Awardspace.com provides you with all kind of help for uploading your files on the server. It is as easy as uploading a file on any file sharing service.
And you are Done!!!
Personally, I will give all these three utilities Namu6, Awardspace.com & and Filezilla 10/10 marks for their performance.
Do let me know how did you find it after you make your website with these tools.

Nov 23rd
As we know, most of the readers are coming to our blog to get some information that they’re looking for but not coming to hang around. Sometimes, they get the info in one post and they leave. So, how to make your blog post sticky and make your readers stay for more than a minute or more? In order to make money online, you need traffic. There are a few little tips that might helps to make your blog post sticky and gain more traffic:
1) Put Your RSS Feed Subscribe Higher
You should promote your RSS Feed or newsletter, ask your readers and friends to subscribe your newsletter online. This is a way to make them will come back your blog and read your latest blog post. You should provide several subscribe options for your readers to increase the chance that a visitor will subscribe your blog.
2) Interlink Your Blog Post
This is what everyone and I will do. Every time we write a new blog post, try to seek a relevant post to link to within your new blog post. Let say if a reader is reading a post about ‘How To Make Money Online’ and you inserted a relevant blog post link about ‘Make Money Online With Affiliate’, they might click the relevant post link to read more as well after finished reading the first post about how to make money online. With that said, they will stay for another minute to read another post on your blog, if your another blog post has other related information link within it, your reader will be reading all over and over again.
3) Response To Every Single Comment From Readers
It’s to build good relationship with your readers, never act like a superstar and never replied to any comment. This is what I’m practicing in every of my blog post. Once your readers like your attitude and character, they will be more likely to visit your blog again.
4) Focus on Your Niche
Not only we should make our blog post sticky but our blog as well, try to only focus on a specific or single niche. This is the basic tips to make your blog post sticky. If you’re writing many different niche, says you have 1 post each in categories like ‘make money online’, ‘food’, ‘technology’ and etc, when a reader is looking for food post, they will only read the only 1 post about food and then leave.
5) Create Archive Page
This is a must for a blog, whenever your readers want to search for something in your blog but they forget when you post it, Archives page might help your readers to seek for the blog post.
By following this 5 simple tips, you might be able to make your blog post more stickier. I will be more likely to hear your other tips on how to make your blog post more stickier too. Simply drop a comment over here and we can discuss more about it.
Hide Your Affiliate Link and Avoid Making a Bad Impression
Nov 19th
Why is it important to hide your affiliate partner referral link?
When you enroll yourself in an affiliate and are willing to make money by referring your blog’s visitors to a particular site through the affiliate link that you have posted in your post, it is better to hide that link with another link. It’s just because when a potential customer hover’s over the link, he can see that there is often a word in the link like “ref=2378283″ or “Ref Id 2903ws9″ etc. It gives a clear indication that the link is going to give you a monetary benefit.
Even though the offer you posted was genuine, still the visitors may feel that this is a trick to earn money and it’s a waste of time to them. So it is better if you hide the link behind the words you have written to be clicked in order to go to that particular website.
How Can You Do It?
Use a good site for link conversion. For example Tinyurl.com or Bit.ly (Which Twitter Uses) ow.ly and many more. It gives you a unique small link in place of your original link and it is FREE.
Try it and avoid making a bad impression.
How to Choose a Good Domain Name?
Nov 18th
The domain name is the most important thing which you must keep in mind while planning a website. Choosing a domain name for your new website can make a HUGE difference in the amount of work you will need to do later on.
Have you ever thought why one of the best social media websites today have pretty amusing domain names? Why twitter chose twitter? Technorati, spurl, Digg, Plaxo, Propeller etc etc. The list is never ending.
One thing that is common in all these websites is that before these were invented, if you had searched any of these names in Google, it would return only a few results.
I will explain it to again. Say for example you want to start a website on how to make money online. You choose a name say mymoneymakingwebsite.com.
Now, if you open Google and search the keywords “make money online” or just search the name of your website, it will return more than 4 billion webpages. Before I started my other website Tenomania.com, I was in a dilemma so as to what should be the name. It is based on 10 ways to do things. I thought over and over and searched many potential domain names in Google. With the name Tenomania.com, Google just returned over 400 results. So, I just have to compete with 400 odd people and in that too many wont be taking things that seriously. So SEO becomes very easy.
So always remember, keep in mind that it is the content that you have to offer and the tags and meta data you use that ranks your website in search engines and not only the name. Choose it wisely and make your life a hell lot easier.
How to Add a Floating Button on Your Wordpress Blog
Nov 17th
Today, most of the wordpress blog themes do not occupy the whole screen. The main part of the blog usually lies in the middle 70% or so (Just like MyArticlesHub.com). This is an effective strategy as it keeps the visitors focused and makes it easy for them to find what they want, but it comes with it’s own disadvantages. When I started this website, I also had this problem. I realized that although the theme I chose to use made it look very good, but it wasted a lot of space on both the sides of the main content. So I tried to find a solution to it and came up with something very simple, very effective and very useful.
If you look at the bottom left corner of this page, you will see an RSS icon there. It stays on the screen even if you scroll up or down. This strategy can be very useful as it brings these links to the focus of the visitors.
How can you do it?
1. Go to your Wordpress/Blogger Dashboard
2. Click on Widgets
3. Add a “Text box” widget to any sidebar you want (It doesn’t affect the outcome)
4. Place the following code in the Text box widget -
<a style=”display:scroll;position:fixed;bottom:5px;left:0px;” href=”URL Of Your Link” title=”Write The Title Which You Want To Appear Upon Mouse Hover”><img src=”URL of the image you want to display there”/></a>
5. And you are done.
You can change the position from “fixed” to “absolute” if you want the button to stay where it is and NOT Scroll down along with the visitor. (This can be used to place certain pictures or other badges precisely on your website.
What all you can put using this code?
Follow me badges, Subscription link badge, Social book marking badges, Your Google affiliate link badge, etc etc. But more important is –
What all you should not place using the above method –
1. Google AdSense code – Although it is possible to place Google AdSense code using this method and it can shot up your revenue also, but it is against the Google TOS. You will be banned from Google for doing so. So DO NOT use this for placing Google AdSense Ads.
2. Images to hide “Ads by Google” logo – Google AdSense ads contain “Ads by Google” logo. It should be clearly visible. If you use the above technique to hide the logo by placing any image over it, you will be banned by Google.
3. Any other service which does not allow you to place links in floating boxes.
Most of the amateur bloggers do not know the importance of learning CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) coding. It is very simple and you can use websites like w3schools.com to learn them online. It is the CSS that makes your website look how it looks what it is right now. If you have a sound knowledge of CSS, you can use all the space on your site very effectively.
I will try to cover more useful coding tips on CSS in the future posts.

How to Post Your Blog Content to Multiple Social Bookmarking Sites – INSTANTLY | Ping.fm
Nov 11th
It has always been said now and then that social book marking sites are the cornerstone of website/blog promotion these days. Every other blogger or small website online uses so many social book marking sites available online to promote their content. This actually has led to the concept of viral marketing.
But how can you quickly post all your content to over – 40+ social book marking sites?
There are two effective ways –
1. Ping.fm
A fantastic service for sharing your content very quickly to almost all the popular social book marking sites. All you need to do is just post the link in it. It automatically extracts the headings well as excerpts to post to various book marking sites. It also can be integrated with twitter clients like Hoot suite. So all you have to do is schedule a blog post and also schedule a tweet for it in Hoot suite. As Hoot suite posts your tweet, it automatically gets posted in all the social book marking sites added in ping.fm. So, all you need to do is blog posting. Rest everything is automated. Super easy…isn’t it?
2. Onlywire.com
It also allows a service similar to ping.fm and infact has a book marking list as good as that of ping.fm. But still, it is not that convenient. It can not be integrated with hoot suite and the Wordpress plugin for autopoisting to Onlywire has it’s own issues.
We would highly recommend you all to register to ping.fm and get started right away.

How to make your blog more social media friendly
Oct 27th
Regardless of the niche your blog operates in, there is no doubt that social media plays a crucial role in its success. Social media sites like Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit and more recently microblogging sites like Twitter have emerged as excellent sources of free traffic for blog owners. As a blogger, ignoring such sites is a big mistake.
Most new bloggers seem to be aware of the fact that luring social media visitors to their blog is a decent way to gain traction. However, they do little to make their blog look appealing to those visitors and hence only a fraction become loyal subscribers.
To help on your quest for blogging stardom, here are a few tips that may help increase the attach rate brought with using social media. When I say attach rate, I means it has the ability to captivate social media users and gives easy options to users allowing them to share and promote articles. Also, keep in mind that these are general tips and things may vary depending upon the particular social site you are targeting (Digg users are different than Reddit users, etc.).
Design
I’m not a designer but I understand that a friendly design, social media visitor friendly to be more specific, would allow the visitor to read the content easily without annoying ads popping up in between. The design should make navigation through the site easier and ensure the lack of clutter on the site.
A good design immediately captures the attention of a social media user or any visitor for that matter and there is a good chance that he would subscribe to or bookmark the site for future reference. Hence, if you plan to include social media in your blog’s marketing strategy, then the layout of the blog should be well planned too…
